Summary:

Responsible for Epic software analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation as well as application support and issue resolution

Project Details:

  • Interact with Operational and IT personnel in identifying, evaluating and configuring systems to meet user and organizational requirements
  • Maintain high credibility and ownership of system activities within assigned application
  • Work directly with Operations and provides input on system design and capabilities
  • Develop system design, including functional specifications and strategies, based upon the analysis of specific operational needs
  • Analyze operational requirements and system capabilities to propose effective solutions
  • Understand workflow practices and how to apply to system configuration in support of Operational/IT strategies, issues, and priorities
  • Perform unit, system, and integration testing per standards and documents outcomes
  • Work with Application Team to ensure applications are well supported and implementations are properly executed
  • Follow defined standards and promote best practice principles
  • Optimize, maintain and support application/system as required
  • Participate effectively as a team member to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Participate in change control processes
  • Provide on-call support, troubleshoots and resolves production support issues
  • Initiate escalation procedures
  • Identify potential issues and refer more complex issues to appropriate level of support
  • Build rapport and promotes team work by maintaining a professional and positive attitude at all times, work to maintain open and professional lines of communication with all end users and colleagues, and utilizing key change management principles
  • Attend team and department meetings
  • Meet application deliverables and project timelines
  • Weekly status reporting
  • Timely project and data tracking with input of weekly time tracking

Job Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-2 years of information systems experience, preferably in healthcare and with Epic (or relevant operational experience)
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts in terms understandable to end-users
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to workflow design, issue escalation, and other projects that support business needs
  • Strong written communication skills, including project documentation and technical writing

Hourly Rate: 61-80

Language Required: English
