Infor Visual Data Mapping and Migration to SAP S/4HANA

Situation

An American instrumentation manufacturer was transitioning from Infor Visual to SAP S/4HANA as part of a major data migration initiative. However, their internal team lacked the specialized expertise needed to manage the complexities of this project on their own. The ideal consultant would need a deep understanding of typical manufacturing functions and data as it pertains to purchase orders, shipping, sales orders, purchasing, and fulfillment. In addition, they needed to be well-versed in Infor Visual so that they could discuss the integration across the system and create a data mapping plan. After interviewing candidates from multiple vendors, the client determined that the Oxford consultant was the most experienced and skilled.

Solution

The engagement was planned to last three to six months, but the client found that there was underlying data complexity and deeper system dependencies. Leveraging their expertise, our Subject Matter Expert was able to guide them through, creating a comprehensive data mapping plan from Infor Visual into SAP S/4HANA, and migrating the data using SQL Server. The consultant ensured data integrity and facilitated a smooth migration.
