BI Architect

Summary:
The BI Architect will understand and translate business needs into analytical data models supporting long-term solutions.
Project Details:
- Work with the BI Analysts & Data Architects to develop conceptual data models
- Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
- Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects
- Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata
- Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new use cases
- Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models
- Lead and provide technical guidance for design and implementation of data warehouse and governance systems
- Ensure data usage is in line with privacy and security policies
- Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts
- Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies
- Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness
- Establish standards and guidelines for developing data models
- Guide BI Analysts and Self-Developed BI community on platform limitations and capabilities
Job Experience:
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other data related field
- Advanced degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science a plus
- 8+ years of experience as Data Modeler /Data Architect creating data models and working in Data Architecture and Data Management solutions.
