SITUATION
After implementing Oracle Fusion, our client engaged a training provider to develop and deliver end-user training. However, the engagement did not yield the desired results. The training provider relied heavily on static PPT presentations and simulations without establishing a structured, role-based training program. Accordingly, end users struggled with system adoption, leading to inefficiencies and a lack of confidence in using Oracle Cloud effectively. Our client needed a new partner that could resolve the training issues for implementation to be successful.
Notable training failures included:
- Generic approach
- Non-alignment with user roles and real-world business processes
- No hands-on experience for end users, leading to difficulty in navigating Oracle Billing and Revenue Management
- Multiple formats (e.g., Excel, PPT, Word) for training materials – no centralized, structured learning framework
- Absence of ongoing support, leaving employees without the necessary resources to troubleshoot and adapt post-go-live
SOLUTION
Recognizing these challenges, we deployed experienced Oracle Cloud trainers specializing in Oracle Billing and Revenue Management and training development. Our team took a comprehensive, hands-on approach to restructure and enhance the client’s training program by:
- Developing a structured, role-based training program tailored for different user groups to ensure relevance to daily responsibilities
- Creating interactive user guides and hands-on learning experiences to replace passive PPT sessions with real-world simulations, guided exercises, and process walkthroughs
- Delivering live training sessions and ongoing support through interactive workshops, Q&A sessions, and follow-up coaching to reinforce learning and address user concerns
- Establishing a centralized, easy-to-access knowledge repository where training materials are organized, ensuring consistency and reducing redundancies
RESULT
Through targeted, role-based training and hands-on learning, our team of three trainers helped transform the client’s fragmented and ineffective Oracle Cloud training approach to a more structured and impactful approach, resulting in a confident, well-trained workforce capable of maximizing Oracle Cloud’s capabilities to drive business success.
