Epic Revenue Cycle Project Manager

Summary:

Primary responsibility for managing tasks assignments and completion to support the design, build / configuration, testing, validation and ongoing support of the EPIC application(s). Responsible for obtaining and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the software functionality, and acquiring / utilizing knowledge of the operational workflows to be implemented with the EPIC system. The project engineer will gain in-depth knowledge of the software by attending application support training and completing application certification projects and tests. The project engineer will possess excellent project management skills, resource planning experience and implementation/maintenance experience using Epic software.

Project Details:

  • Primary resource for planning, assigning and monitoring completion of build, test, validation and implementation of the Epic Revenue Cycle application suite
  • Coordinate all issues that arise during the project for their respective assigned responsibilities
  • Work closely with the technical team and the application team to ensure that build and testing cycles meet the needs of the end user community
  • Maintain regular communication with vendor implementation representatives.
  • Assume EPIC application build, test and implementation expertise by maintaining EPIC certification
  • Become adept at working with application teams with expertise
  • Lead project planning/analysis, build, testing, validation, go-live and continuous monitoring/reporting of all SRHS project tasks and deliverables
  • Translate business needs into specifications for application build and testing
  • Act as primary contact for setting and meeting project milestones and project planning activities after go-live for assigned area
  • Participate in project plan development and monitoring project milestones for assigned area
  • Participate in design and validation sessions and ensure appropriate documentation, follow-up and issue escalation occurs
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation on project deliverables, milestones, application build and testing cycles along with technical components
  • Troubleshoot problems identified by application team members and end users
  • Escalate issues and risks to project leadership
  • Participate in the planning and execution of application go-live and post-live activities
  • Follow established guidelines for system change control
  • Analyze new functionality in releases to determine how and if it should be used
  • Review and test new software releases that contain interface changes / updates

Job Experience:

  • Associate's degree or higher or related applicable experience (prefer a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5 years of Healthcare experience (prefer 7 years); 1 year of EPIC specific experience (prefer 3 years); must have documented completion of at least one successful EPIC Implementation (prefer 2 or more successful implementations)
  • PMP Certification
  • EPIC Certification in at least one Ancillary system application

Hourly Rate: 63.75-82.5
