\nA:<\/strong> I started in 2008, so 16 years.<\/p>\n
\nA:<\/strong> It seems like another world. The Cork office has expanded to accommodate more staff on multiple occasions. I am also based out of the Oxford Barcelona office now, and I didn\u2019t expect that to happen when I started in 2008!<\/p>\n
\nA:<\/strong> I can\u2019t believe how much easier it is to contact the right people. Applications like Zoom, Sales Navigator, and LinkedIn have made getting contact information much easier than before. What used to take all day now takes minutes.<\/p>\n
\nA:<\/strong> With the help of my colleagues, I have contributed by growing key client accounts into key revenue generators for the company. As a sales guy, I\u2019m really focused on growing the business.<\/p>\n
\nA:<\/strong> My first President’s Club trip to Grand Velas in Mexico, it was great to travel with some of my friends from the Cork office while also meeting a lot of my colleagues in the U.S. in person for the first time. We all kept the bartenders busy!<\/p>\n
\nA:<\/strong> Oxford is a great company to work for. Since I\u2019ve started, I\u2019ve bought my own home, upgraded my car quite a few times, and working at Oxford has generally allowed me to live the kind of live that I didn\u2019t have before.<\/p>\n
\nA:<\/strong> The future for Oxford will be AI, AI, and AI. We will also see more heavily integrated client applications and tools. We have a great future ahead of us. A lot is going on in the world of IT.<\/p>\n
\nA:<\/strong> Growing major client accounts and working with a great team that helps me do it. While I have been fortunate enough to be pretty successful at Oxford, it has only been possible because of highly-competant friends, colleagues, and management that I have had around me since 2008.<\/p>\n
\nA:<\/strong> Always back yourself.<\/p>\n
\nA:<\/strong> Very well. Some of the applications we have today help us to find key client information we could have only dreamed about in 2008!<\/p>\n
\nA:<\/strong> The various methods of communication have increased dramatically. When we would try to contact consultants or clients in the beginning, it was via your landline, mobile, or email. Now, there are dozens of ways to get in touch – Whats App, LinkedIn messenger, and Teams included. All these platforms let you reach your clients in ways you never could have when I started working. The main difference is the access to information using tools like Sales Navigator and Zoom. When you had to go networking a company in 2008, it really was trying to figure out their direct dial and the right extension to reach or seeing if you could get a referral from whoever answered the phone. That really has changed a lot.<\/p>\n
\nA:<\/strong> I will be 90 in 40 years, so I hope to still be alive! After I spend some more years with Oxford, my wife, my two dogs, and I will find a little beach house we can retire in and drink wine and cocktails.<\/p>\n
