The Challenge
\n<\/strong>A nuclear fuel consortium experienced a crane incident during a facility expansion, which naturally raised red flags when it came to their safety protocols and procedures. They received a non-cited violation from the NRC and determined that they needed to perform an external review of all IROF safety procedures and protocols and rewrite their IROFs. If they didn\u2019t, their facility expansion might have had to cease work until the issue was resolved. To perform this review, they knew they would need specialized support and expertise.<\/p>\n

The Solution
\n<\/strong>After developing an understanding of Oxford\u2019s services, the manager gave us the opportunity to provide the right talent and resolve the client\u2019s issues. We provided four professionals to review 40 IROFs within two months. These individuals were experienced in Quality Engineering, Design, Auditing, NQA-1, and 10 CFR Part 70. They reviewed and edited each safety protocol as needed and received approval through a lead auditor.<\/p>\n

The Result
