The Challenge<\/strong>
\nA 392-bed pediatric hospital was beginning an Epic\u2122 implementation and found that some individuals in their 140-person team were failing their certification tests. In addition, the client had planned a \u201cbig bang\u201d go-live, in which all users would need to be moved to the new system simultaneously. After experiencing difficulties with their training resources and implementation partners, and with their deadline quickly approaching, the client reached out to Oxford Global Resources and requested support from our Epic-certified Analysts and Trainers.<\/p>\n

The Solution<\/strong>
\nTo ensure the best possible experience for the new users on the Epic system, Oxford placed over 70 consultants, including Epic-certified Analysts, Epic-certified Instructional Designers, and Classroom Trainers. Our experts worked with the client\u2019s internal Epic team to ensure all aspects of the implementation would be ready by the target go-live date. The Oxford team contributed experience in project management, application build, instructional design, MST build, and classroom training. Our resources played a part throughout the entire Epic team, including inpatient, revenue cycle, interface and reporting, ambulatory, and ancillary. As consultants were onboarded, the Oxford Account Manager brought each new hire to the site to ensure a smooth transition. In most cases, the consultants were sourced and onsite within three to five days of the client\u2019s initial request.<\/p>\n

The Result<\/strong>
\nWith our assistance, the client achieved a successful go-live within 18 months. Several consultants have continued to support them as they move to implementations of additional Epic modules such as Wisdom\u2122, Neurology, Kaleidoscope\u2122, Home Health, Tapestry\u2122, and Nurse Triage.
